On Wednesday, February 15th, 2012, we held our first annual Global Game Jam Play Party. Our intent was to get everyone together to play the products of the GGJ and socialize. Overall, it was a great success!
Five of the teams from the DePaul Jam site were present with their projects: Team Jam, Emotionally Unavailable, Godbros, Backyard Origami Club, and Sharks, Rockets, and Dinosaurs. They were all more than happy to share and discuss their work, which was an excellent experience. Not only did we get to play the games, but we were personally introduced to them by the very people who crafted them in that hectic 48-hour window of time!
There were so many great conversations going on throughout the event and so many awesome people. Chicago’s game development community is truly inspirational!
Thank you, DePaul University, for hosting the event, and thank you to everyone who joined us there!
It was great to see you all and we hope you’ll join us again March 21st for our Post-GDC event!
